This is how I build an article (or blog post, newsletter, etc.) from idea to ready-to-send — powered by Setapp's AI tools. Each app adds value at a different stage: from outlining ideas to managing sources, polishing language, and even preparing email drafts to pitch or publish it.

Step-by-step process

Step 1

Brainstorm & structure your article using BoltAI or TypingMind. These apps let you chat with ChatGPT-style models right on your Mac to ideate titles, outlines, or content angles

Step 2

Research and summarize sources using PDF Pals to chat with PDF articles or reports, and Elephas to gather key notes into your knowledge hub.

Step 3

Draft your content with the help of Plus to rewrite, expand, or improve sentences right inside your editor.

Step 4

Organize reference notes using Spellar AI, which captures smart meeting notes or quick voice memos with context.

Step 5

Record quick voice ideas (or even dictate your draft) using MurmurType or WhisperTranscribe, turning your thoughts into text.

Step 6

Polish and export your article, then use Ready to Send to generate an email draft to send it to your editor, client, or newsletter list.
