Record, edit, and share Mac screen walkthroughs without juggling multiple apps

Every time I needed to send a quick tutorial or walk a client through something, I'd record with one app, edit in another, and then fumble through sharing. The back-and-forth killed any time I'd saved by recording in the first place. Here's the system that finally made the whole thing feel effortless.

Step-by-step process

Step 1

Open Capto, choose your capture area and enable the microphone for a live voiceover before hitting record.

Step 2

Turn on the face camera in Capto to include a "talking head" in the corner of your recording — useful for tutorials or product walkthroughs where presence matters.

Step 3

Once done, trim dead air, cut mistakes, and add text callouts or annotations directly inside Capto without exporting to a separate editor.

Step 4

Run the finished recording through CameraBag Pro to apply a preset filter or color grade, so the video looks consistent and professional before it goes to a client or YouTube.
