Copy the YouTube video URL from your browser

Open Pulltube from Setapp and paste or drag the link into the app window — it will fetch the video for download.

Step 3

Choose “Audio only” (usually MP3 or M4A) in Pulltube’s download options and click Download. This extracts the audio straight from the video

Step 4

For extra quality or format control, open the downloaded file in Permute and convert it to your desired MP3 settings

Step 5

Use Downie as an alternative or backup: paste the video link into Downie, select audio output, and save high‑fidelity MP3. Downie supports downloads from YouTube and many other sites

Step 6

Organize your audio library on your Mac — add tags, playlists, or metadata using your preferred media or music manager
