Step-by-step process

Step 1

Open CleanShot X and click on Record Window to start a targeted capture

Step 2

Select the window you want to record. Hover over the app window and click once — CleanShot will isolate and capture only that

Step 3

Choose whether to include sound or webcam. Before hitting Record, adjust options like audio input or webcam overlay

Step 4

Record your content. Once done, save or instantly upload the clip to the CleanShot Cloud

Step 5

Open your recording in Capto to trim, add annotations, blur sensitive data, or highlight key actions

Step 6

Save the final version locally or share it with a link if you used CleanShot Cloud
